Named and shaped in loving tribute to Tintin, the fabled Belgian journalist who defined what it meant to be an adventurer in the 20th Century,  Les Aventures de President Bongo is a bonafide objet d‘art. Each of the 24 LPs is limited to a run of 100 copies (numbered and signed) is accompanied by a series of photographs and a film. Once the cycle is complete, the individual releases will Voltron into a unified whole that is projected to surpass the sum of its parts.

After making his name with legendary electro outfit Gusgus, President Bongo has spent the past two decades on a mission of discovery, searching the fringes for fresh inspiration, inviting kindred spirits he encounters along the way to join in his republic and contribute to its continued prosperity. The President‘s hard work is amply reflected in the music presented on the 24 installments to Les Aventures de President Bongo, where he assumes the role of producer/instigator/photographer/artistic director/director/singer/ songwriter and artist, tasking some of modernity‘s most revered musicians with expanding their horizons and testing their limits as well as his own.
